These kennels worked perfectly for indoor kennels for my 2 PitBulls. They have lots of leg room and plenty of room to play when I’m not at home.

The 5' height is at the tip of the canopy not the panels. It's fine for smaller dogs or possibly other animals but I wouldn't recommend it as a permanent option. We put 2 together for our dogs for a temporary space outdoors while doing home repairs. You will also have to duck under a bar to get into the kennel to change food, water or get your pet on a leash. The cost of ship to store was also excessive.

I bought two of these to help get our 11 puppies out and in the yard and more outside playtime. My puppies are full Australian Shepherd. I put both of these kennels together to make one long kennel. They were very easy to attach together instructions. Very simple to understand. The kennels themselves are very sturdy the puppies love their new play area plus you can slide it around the yard if you need to, but just note it will take two people. The kennels are very durable a little heavy but one person putting them together is very simple. It’s just that moving them once they are attached together we’ll take two people just because they’re a little cumbersome. The two canopies they have in there are OK. They need to rethink the Velcro holding the corners, but we did seem to make them work and they turned out fine if you’re looking for an outside kennel to put a dog or puppies, I would highly recommend but just note puppies like to dig and they will try to dig underneath so you may need to have an option to help deter this behavior like a small board or something in the corners. It’s pretty easy to figure out. The puppies themselves do try to figure out how to get out, but the latches for the doors are very good and since there’s no walls, there’s a lot of ventilation for the area you may want to put a tarp or something over the center if you combine the two together just to give more sunshade.

I don’t understand why people say this is small when the measurements are clearly stated and if a dog is getting out and able to open the door/gaye then it wasn’t latched/clicked when being closed. This is an excellent dog cage. Withstands inclement weather. I would say it not meant for large dogs. You would need much bigger and taller. When description states 5 foot that’s including the cover on it in the center.
