Needed replaced after two years but never tangled

We purchased on of these in 2019 and it's been tied up outside all its life. During the earlier part of of 2021 we noticed something brown staining the cable. We tried to rub the cable clean with various amounts of cleaner but the stain wouldn't come off. Come to find out, the brown stain was on the inside of the cable!! We could only assume it was rust but rust shouldn't be on a galvanized cable should it?!? I'm no metallurgist so just to be safe we took the cable down. However I replaced the cable with the same brand. I figure at least I know my cable will last a couple years before it needs replacing and it says it's USA made which is also good so I figured buying a second one is the way to go. I'm reading these other reviews of people saying their cables got tangled all the time. We never had one problem with it tangling and we had ours hooked to the porch so I have no clue what everyone is talking about.
