Q: You have to take off the solar panel itself, it does detach from the metal box if you apply pressure to the plastic panel to pop it off. Instructions were very vague and I was afraid it would break, but it does work.

Q: I cannot get this thing to work. Do I need to peel off a layer of something to make it work? Some sort of battery barrier? Super frustrated. Have had it in the sun for days now and turned off, back on, etc. and nothing.

this had a wow factor for me when i spotted them but i passed on it for awhile then i finally decided to order them online and have them shipped but one arrived with a broken lens/bulb so i trecked to store and purchased a new one, come the day we put them up and wow i could really see how crooked they were but put screwed them onto the house anyway..then came letting them sit in the sun for 48hrs to get them good and charged before turning them on which we do with all our solar items which is all we have on our property for 3 yrs is solar so we know what we are doing there,so comes the day ti turn em on and so so so dissapointed in the amount of light and how they dont even last but 1-2 hrs but now we have holes in our siding so thats where they are staying but wish i would have payed attention to the red flags first and never put them up and just returned them..also to note i bought alot of this Red Shed solar decor and its all off somehow i bought a bunch of their solar chimes to match and they are all crooked in some form same with a huge faux water can planter from the brand, i dont know if its the welding or what but o well that is what i get for loving the color of these items(sage)

Cute for looks but terrible for lighting

I bought 3 of these last year to try and light up the area on the back side of my house. One has never worked, the other two worked but the light they emit is barely enough to see your own hand under your nose off your standing directly under them. They are basically for decor only. Now I’m trying to figure out a way to make them an actual lantern / plug in light. I do not recommend if you need any amount of actual light at all.
