I purchased this 20 years ago to prevent coyotes from getting to my dogs.....It has held up all this time with minimal rusting & no disintegration.......It is also extremely useful for horses with the "greener pastures syndrome", reaching over or through the regular farm fence to get to tastier munchies on the other side, & eventually breaking down the posts & riding the fence till escape is possible.......If they know they can't reach over it, they leave it strictly alone........Although the initial cost is higher, it more than makes up for itself in longevity ......A little harder to put up initially, but you only have to do it once, instead on redoing it each time a horse reaches over & knocks . down a post.......Hope this has been helpful......

I have purchased 5 rolls of the wire from my local Tractor Supply store. The strength of the wire is ok, but the length of the wire is about 15-20 feet shorter on all the rolls that I purchased. I contacted the manufacturer for answers but have not received a response.
