Broke on First Use

Mine broke on the first use. One of the tines broke off. It has a lifetime warranty, but the Ames website makes it seem like they're not going to be overly willing to honor the warranty. I'll update my review if they replace it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great Rake

My husband purchased this rate for me and I am enjoying using it. My Dad had always told me to use this kind of rate for the garden since it was easier and does a good job. He always called it a potato rake. Great for everyone, since it is lightweight. Good quality garden tool.

Not so great handle

I use this tool a lot. It is very good for pulling material out of a pile. The handle is quite thin and very bowed. It should be straight. The finish is varnish or lacquer which is cracked, not holding up well and has splinters. I would prefer a waxed finish or unfinished and apply own boiled linseed oil or linseed oil/turpentine mix to handle. The head itself is fine, very sturdy.

Yes, I recommend this product.
