Wind and Rain High Magnesium Cattle Mineral is specially designed to meet the mineral needs of cattle grazing lush forages. These forages can be low in magnesium, which makes proper supplementation critical. Containing 4% phosphorus and 10% magnesium, essential macro and micro trace minerals, and supplemental vitamins A, D, and E, this product provides the complete mineral nutrition to address mineral deficiencies inherent in forages while supporting optimal health, fertility, and growth. Our unique manufacturing process supports more consistent intake, helping cattle receive adequate levels of magnesium every day. The formula is highly palatable, encouraging steady consumption. Wind and Rain Storm technology adds advanced weather resistance to help reduce waste. The large particle size and specialized formulation prevent the mineral from absorbing moisture or blowing out of the feeder. As a result, Wind and Rain Storm Formulas last longer and are more economical to feed than conventional loose minerals. Use only as directed.
- Patented Storm weather-resistant technology is designed to help mineral feed resist water, but not digestion, enabling palatability and digestibility even after its been rained on
- Magnesium Supplementation: Contains high magnesium for cattle grazing lush pastures, or pastures with known magnesium deficiencies
- Taste Cattle Enjoy: Highly palatable for proven consistent consumption
- Easy to Absorb: With bioavailable minerals & vitamins for optimized performance
- Large Particle Size: Resistant to wind losses and rain damage
- Vitamin Supplementation: With added vitamin A, D and E to support health, fertility & growth potential
- Research-Tested: Your cattle will receive the essential minerals and vitamins they need when they need them

Q: Someone stated that this is the same product as Epsom salt. You can put it in your bath? I currently use Epsom salt and also magnesium flakes. So would this really compare?
5 years ago- A: No, it is not. This is a livestock mineral supplement that contains supplemental magnesium as well as other necessary minerals and common salt. It is not at all appropriate for use in your bath or any other application other than for livestock consumption.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is there another one of your products that you can recommend that would be good for a lactating cow
6 years ago- A: Thanks for choosing Purina. Please give us a call at 1-800-227-8941 and we can suggest some options for you. If this is a dairy cow in full lactation, you will need to find a mineral specifically formulated for their nutrient needs and we can suggest a dealer near you. If it is a lactating beef cow, then we do have many options in the Wind and Rain line up, but it is dependent on if you are drinking the milk as well.6 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can this be given to dairy cow?
6 years ago- A: This is not suggested for a lactating dairy cow as they will have different nutrient requirements than a lactating beef cow. This is due to the much larger volume of milk being produced.6 years agoHelpful?
