Q: What is the difference between this and the need cattle 30% protein tub?
5 years ago- A: Rangeland 30-13 tub and the Purina 30% protein tub are both low moisture cooked molasses tubs that are designed to be fed free choice. They both enhance intake and utilization of available forage and reduce labor for producers. Both products contain non-protein nitrogen (NPN) to support rumen microbial fermentation. With both products, cattle typically consume from 0.5 to 1 pound per head per day. The Rangeland tub is a larger tub (125 lbs) and contains 13% NPN. It also has slightly higher values of calcium, phosphorus and potassium. This product is designed to be fed with low to medium quality forage that is less than 8% protein. The Purina tub is a smaller, easier to handle tub (60 lbs) and contains 15% NPN. This product is designed to be fed with medium to high quality forage that is over 8% protein.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Our Yak love this and our horses do too, what ingredient might be harmful to horses since horses are not on the label?
5 years ago- A: Urea is a nonprotein nitrogen source commonly used in the diets of ruminant animals such as cattle. This feed ingredient provides nitrogen to the intestinal (ruminal) microflora for use in the synthesis of microbial protein, which may then be used to meet a significant portion of the ruminants’ protein requirement.5 years agoHelpful?
