Prozap Screw Worm and Ear Tick Aerosol is a multi-purpose permethrin spray used to control insects on beef and dairy cattle, sheep, goats, hogs, and horses. Contains a violet marking dye for use on wounds to identify treated areas and uniform coverage. Designed to kill and repel flies, fly maggots, and ticks (including ear ticks) on livestock. Prozap Screw Worm Aerosol is a permethrin-based aerosol registered for use on beef cattle, horses, and sheep to kill screwworms, flies, and maggots infesting wounds. When treating an open wound, hold the can 4 to 8 inches from the affected area and spray until completely wettypically 3 to 10 secondsmaking sure to cover both the wound and surrounding tissue. Always read and follow label directions before use. This product is not recommended for use in deep wounds. Beyond wound treatment, Prozap Screw Worm Aerosol is labeled for direct application into the ear canal for ear tick control and for use against stable flies, horse flies, deer flies, face flies, horn flies, mosquitoes, ticks, and gnats on beef and dairy cattle, goats, sheep, hogs, and horses. Important: Do not ship swine for slaughter within 5 days of last treatment. Always use in accordance with label directions. It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.Prozap Screw Worm Ear Tick Aerosol (EPA Reg. No. 47000-100; TDA Account No. 0722104) is recommended for use on beef cattle, dairy cattle, horses, sheep, goats, and swine to aid in the prevention and treatment of infestation by New World Screwworm (Cochliomyia hominivorax) in Texas and Florida. This recommendation is made as permitted under FIFRA Section 2(ee) and has not been submitted to or approved by the EPA. This 2(ee) recommendation contains directions for use which do not appear on the package label and must be in the possession of the user at the time of pesticide application. Follow all applicable directions, restrictions, and precautions on the EPA registered label when using Prozap Screw Worm Ear Tick Aerosol.

Works as previous reviews described it would and far more effective than I thought it would be. Had raw spots on several cows at the corners under tailhead where flies were bedding in and unable to heal. Within a few days the sores were dried up and healing with no return of flies or other insects.

Perfect wound protectant from maggots and flies

I cannot sing the praises of this stuff enough! We had a calf attacked by a coyote and by the time we found her, the wounds were filled with maggots. We tried washing with water, paper towels, picking the off by hand, but they were so deep. Finally found this stuff. When we sprayed the wounds, she absolutely hated it, but the maggots were just falling out, wiggling their way away from this stuff. We used it twice a day for about 2 weeks. It cleaned those maggots out and kept the wound disinfected until she finally healed over and is now perfectly fine. Definitely recommend!
