Item Information

The Producer's Pride AluShield Aerosol Bandage is the fastest and easiest way to protect wounds without having to wrap a bandage on them. Think of AluShield as an aerosol bandage for horses, sheep, and cattle. AluShield has a unique aerosol formula that protects wounds from water, dirt, debris, bacteria and insects, yet still allows wounds to breathe and receive oxygen. Wounds must have oxygen in order to heal properly. AluShield is perfectly suited to use in conjunction with an antibiotic ointment. The spray is a protective barrier, but contains no antibacterial properties.

  • Works to protect recently dehorned and/or castrated animals and prevents scalding from scours and foal diarrhea
  • Provides great protection to any wound, cut, scrape or abrasions
  • Washes off with warm, soapy water
  • Contains aluminum powder, 40 mg.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! I have a gelding that gets turned out with 5 other geldings. He accumulates various bites and scrapes playing with the other "guys". AluShield is great to quickly treat superficial wounds and keep flies away. Great Product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vet recommended works good My vet recommended getting a couple of cans of this to use on a cow that had a pretty serious cut low on a front leg. It’s basically powdered aluminum in a spray can that forms a liquid bandage on the wound to keep it from getting infected, it worked good, covered the cut and it didn’t get infected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keep this in your stable for injuries it works! My vet suggested this to heal huge open sore on forearm wound; used several cans to keep clean and flies off. No scar healed perfectly! Easy to use stays on.

Dog has serve open wound keep bleeding can this be used or will it burn and irritated more

Asked by: Teresa2
This product can be used on dogs as well as other animals both small and large. This product is meant to be a barrier to protect the wound not necessarily stop bleeding. Once the wound has stopped bleeding this can be sprayed as a protective coating- it can even be used over top of an ointment if needed. It will not irritate a wound. If the wound is severe- the customer may want to have the animal looked at by a veterinarian.

About how far does it spray. I want to put some on my bull but dont wanna get too close

Asked by: Lme1
It is best to be within 12 inches of the animal’s skin. Being further away could allow for inadequate coverage.
