The Ideal Animal Health Alushield Aluminum Powder Spray is a convenient, water-resistant aerosol bandage that creates a protective barrier against external irritants in simple wounds of animals of all sizes. It contains aluminum powder for better wound protection. It's perfectly suited to use in conjunction with an antibiotic ointment for complete treatment.Brand may vary by store
- Animal wound spray works to protect recently dehorned and/or castrated animals from further injury
- Provides great protection to any wound, cut, scrape or abrasions without the need for a traditional bandage
- Washes off with warm, soapy water for quick cleaning
- Contains aluminum powder for better wound protection
- Protects wounds from water, dirt, debris, bacteria and insects for faster healing
- Perfectly suited to use in conjunction with an antibiotic ointment for complete treatment
- Spray is a protective barrier, but contains no antibacterial properties
- Wounds must have oxygen in order to heal properly, and this wound care spray allows wounds to breathe and receive oxygen during treatment
- Prevents scalding from scours and foal diarrhea
- Helps Deter Flies and Pests: The aluminum coating appears to be unappealing to flies and other insects, helping reduce irritation and the risk of egg-laying around the wound.
- Long-Lasting Coverage: Reapplication every three days is recommended to maintain an effective protective barrier throughout the healing process.

Cattle Wound
Good wound protection. It did wear off quicker than I thought it might, but overall, it was effective. I was looking for something that would keep flies off of a wound, and it did that fairly well.
