I bought this for my 80 year old father to do gardening and work on his fishing boat while protecting his knees and joints. It’s the perfect size and I think he may have been happier with this gift than any in the past decade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Outstanding product, the pad is very comfortable to use. It saves a lot of wear and tear on the knees. The pad stays in place while moving around. It has proven to very durable, I use it uptower on wind turbines and it has held up to the cheese crater style floor. I have torn a lot of clothes on this flooring and it is very painfully to kneel, sit or lay on. This is the best kneeling pad that I have used and I highly recommend this product.

The technical name for this stuff is diamond matrix safety floor grating; this stuff usually does a number on clothes, plus it is most uncomfortable. My answer to this is the Proflex 390 extra-large kneeling pad. With its one inch thickness the comfort factor goes from ouch to ahhh…the large working surface allows me to move around on the floor with ease and without having to worry about my clothes getting caught and ripping on the floor grating. So, how does the kneeling pad hold up against the cheese grater floor grating? Well after running it through the ringer it held up against this stuff pretty well. Well enough in fact you can’t even tell I have used it on the stuff.Overall, I am well pleased with the results. Definitely would recommend if you are doing any work on the floor, I actually already have

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first saw this product I thought it would be great for setting water meters. Setting meters was one of my many job functions when I first started with the city, the person who taught me drove me to a dumpster in front of a house being built and told me to jump in and find a piece of carpet, I must have had a confused look on my face when he told me trust me. So I did and after 6 dumpsters I found a piece. That’s when we went to set our first meter. Lying on the carpet kept me clean it was good advice, but when winter in Utah came and the ground was cold and wet the carpet was lucky to make it on one meter set before you were cold and wet. I have used a different mat for the past five years, and the Ergodyne ProFlex kneeling pad is what I wish I would have found. I don’t set many meters any more but I had to just to test the kneeling pad out. I was able to set meters all day in comfort. With the carpet and mat you could feel every rock and at least twice a week you would get one right it that spot right below your knee cap that would hurt for hours no more with the Ergodyne kneeling pad. Mud, water and snow are no match for the Ergodyne kneeling pad after a ten hour day I was dry as a bone. Our new meter setter, Shelly, loves it! I had to give her my demo and order 4 just for the water department. When we get our Ergodyne kneeling pads we will let the parks take the ProFlex kneeling pad and see how they like it. I’ll update my review after I get their feedback. I could only find one thing I would change, make it 8 to 12 inches longer. I like how thick it is but maybe a ¾ or ½ inch thick would make it a little easier to roll up to store in the truck saddle boxes.
