Garbage

Absolute junk. Stuck at the top and won't go back down. Tried shaking and running under both hot and cold water to try and get it to go down or loose up. No luck. Total garbage, do not recommend

Junk! right out of the package it didn't work. Tried shaking it, soaking in cool water, leaving it standing up, nothing helped. Bought for a sick kid for reliability over a digital and it has zero.

How I wish I had read these reviews before driving 20 miles to buy this today! Everything the previous reviewers have said is true. The thermometer was already showing a mid range temperature when I opened the box, but I decided to test it in tepid water anyway. It immediately went up to 110° and wouldn't shake down.. Complete waste of my time and money, and I still don't know if my goat is running a temperature

Useless waste of money, not accurate

Used this one time. Got a reading of 99.9 Washed it off with dish soap and warm (not hot) water. Now the reading is stuck over 110, even after trying to clear it with ice water. Double checked with a digital thermometer and the accurate reading for the animal was 103.4. Would give negative rating for this if I could.
