I bought my first ton of coal from TS after checking prices from everyone up to 1hour away they had the best price of everyone and almost $40 less than some. It burns very nice it's clean not much dust. I'm burning about a bag a day on a 1500 sq ft house. Love it.

Picked up 4 tons of this about 6 weeks ago, and just lit the coal boiler on 10/12/18. Burning great, lots of heat. A bit higher ash content than the Blaschak I've been burning for years. The bags themselves are very heavy duty - some of the heaviest plastic I've seen in 13 years of burning coal. The main issue with this stuff is how WET the coal is. This coal was SOAKED! I've never seen coal wetter then this. Water poured out of several bags when I poked holes in the bottom - this was after I had dumped the water straight into my boiler, not realizing how much was trapped in the bags. The pallets were stored outdoors at TSC for who knows how long, so it's no wonder. I have to poke holes in the bottom, then cut open the tops of 8-10 bags, and let them air dry a bit before dumping them in the hopper. If I don't do this, the soaking wet fines will solidify into black concrete just before the feed paddle as the heat burns off the water, and will completely restrict the flow of coal, causing the water temperature to drop dramatically. Some bags had black puddles of water around them from the drainage. I had a similar issue with Blaschak (and they dry their stuff at the bagging plant), although not anywhere near as bad as these. Price was just as high as the normal places I shop, but TSC was closer, so they won. Didn't feel like paying delivery fees from my normal supplier, since coal this season is up substantially over the '17-'18 season.
