Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works. It’s a great weed preventer, doesn’t kill weeds once they grow, but is an effective pre-emergent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great! Just as it said it would. I have been using Preen and Green for years and it works wonderful! It works best in the flower garden if you put it on in the early spring around plants that are at least 3" tall. Lightly scratch it in the ground and water or put it on before a rain shower. It won't work as well if you put it on and then put mulch over the top. If your going to add mulch then put it on the top of the mulch layer and scratch it in and water. If you need to, say if you have a lot of rain, then reapply after about 2 months, again take it in lightly and water. I've also put it in my vegtable but not until the plants are up at least 3 inches. I think people who have had poor results probably haven't read the instructions, this is crucial!

How do I apply? Do I spray with. Water. Is it good on gravel?Kiki

Asked by: Kikicoocooi
Thank you for your inquiry! Preen Garden Weed Preventer is meant to be applied to bare weed free soil and in gardens around the label listed flowers, plants, trees, shrubs and vegetables. This product is a weed prevener not a weed killer so any existing weeds would need to be removed prior to applhying. Watered in to activate, a gentle rain or 5-10 minute watering is sufficient. You can reapply every 9-12 weeks. Preen Garden Weed Preventer can be applied to gravel however we do advise that erratic weed growth can occur.
