Q: What voltage 115v or 220v
a month ago1 Answer
- A: Howdy neighbor! The PORTER-CABLE 125-155 PSI Pressure Switch is a dual-voltage part engineered to operate perfectly on both 115V and 220V electrical circuits. Its internal mechanical contacts can handle either voltage option safely up to its maximum capacity of 26 Amps. This flexibility allows you to easily install it on standard household setups as well as heavy-duty workshop compressors.a month agoHelpful?
Q: Will this work for a 120/150 tank
8 months ago1 Answer
- A: Hello, thank you for your question. Possibly, but it depends on the tank’s maximum rated pressure. The switch cuts out at 155 PSI, so if the tank’s maximum pressure is 150 PSI or less, using this switch could exceed the tank’s safe limit. If the tank is rated at 150 PSI or higher and all fittings are rated accordingly, it could work. Always verify the tank rating and ensure safety valves are properly set to prevent over-pressurization.7 months agoHelpful?
Q: I have a 60 gal with 135/165 pressure switch will this work on it?
2 years ago2 Answers
- A: Hello, yes, we do not recommend this pressure switch, Since this pressure switch is set at a cut-in of 125 PSI and a cut-out of 155 PSI, and the pressure switch on your compressor is set at 135 & 165, this switch will not work for your application. If you need further assistance with replacement part needs, feel free to contact a product rep at 1-888-895-4549. Thank you!2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Why are there no wiring instructions or manual of any kind??? Who wants to call someone just to hook something up that could be so simple with instructions??
3 years ago2 Answers
- A: As this pressure switch is a replacement part, the wiring would be the same as the one coming off the unit. The terminal block on the switch is marked “LINE” on the two top contacts which is where the input power leads would be attached. The bottom two contacts are for the leads coming from the motor. Just make sure that the wire lead colors match top to bottom. There are two ground screws located on the metal base of the switch to attach a ground lead from your input and the motor. Pipe plugs are provided to install into the threaded ports that aren’t used in a customer’s application. There are two different sized strain relief brackets provided as well to best fit the user’s cord sizes.
