This 5,000 lb. electric trailer jack is designed to make hitching, leveling, and lifting your trailer tongue easier and more efficient. Polestar Electric Tongue Jack Needed Modifications

I installed the Polestar 5000# Electric Tongue Jack on my 24' Car-hauler. It replaced an older Electric Jack that barely cleared the '24 Ford Superduty Tailgate. The Polestar Jack Head would not clear the Tailgate as delivered. I had to confirm with the Manufacturer that I could disassemble and rotate the Jack Head 180-degrees. They did not indicate the difficulty of removing the 2-piece Plastic Head Cover. I managed to do it with just one broken Plastic Tab. I also caulked the Head Cover to Outer Tube gaps to prevent Moisture and Spiders from getting inside. With the new Head configuration the LED Tongue Light faces away from the Hitch. It easily clears the Tailgate at any Truck/Trailer Angle. The finished new Jack seems quiet and functional. It does not strain to lift the Trailer Tongue.

Make's life easier

I bought a new dump trailer and replaced the jack with this Polestar 5000# electric jack. It is much easier than cranking by hand. It also seems quicker. It has plenty of lift and I like the light, even though I have not had to depend on that yet. The drop leg is also a great feature. I don't mind switching trailers several times a day, now. I recommend this product.
