It can be used at heights up to 32", though this would only be an option for dogs able to handle a steep ramp. If your dog needs a moderate incline 28 inches would be the maximum, and if your dog is elderly or injured and would need a gradual incline, 23 inches would be the maximum height.a month agoHelpful?

For dogs that are unsure, we would recommend first laying the ramp down flat, and using high value treats to encourage your dog to walk along the ramp on leash. Once your dog is comfortable with the ramp while flat, you can then try a slight incline while still leashed and using the same positive reinforcement. Following those gradual steps, most dogs are able to accept these ramps.

Beware of Bleeding Paws!

The Happy Ride Folding Dog Ramp is a nice design, with one major flaw... The High Traction Surface that "Helps Paws Grip the Ramp," also makes paws bleed! It's a very abrasive surface. It even made my own hand bleed when I picked it up to fold it. Surely there must be an alternative surface material that both grips and is not abrasive to paw pads, or human skin.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Definitely worth it

This ramp is exactly what I needed to get my senior dog into the car without pain. He's a 65 lb lab mix and he took to it almost immediately, conoertwbke/comfortably walking up the ramp the first time he was directed. Very happy with this purchase.
