The side rails and the rubber feet are also likely plastic. I bought it to load show lambs in the bed of my truck. It loads a 150# sheep just fine. It does flex a little in center. The only thing that I can ding it on is the grip surface scuffed up some, but that could be the difference between hooves and paws.

Finally a ramp for our 180lb Great Dane!

My wife and I struggled to find a ramp that was long enough, wide enough, and strong enough to handle our aging 180lb Great Dane. We ordered this ramp last December and use it nearly everyday. It obviously took our dog a couple of tries to not be nervous, but now it works seamlessly. He has no issues getting up and down from my truck's rear floor. The durability of the ramp has also impressed me. I throw (literally) it in the bed of my truck when the dog is riding with me, and it is still working great. Highly recommend for other Great Dane owners.

Works as designed but scratches easily.

The ramp works well for our 115 lb. dog. It took some coaxing the first few times, but he uses willingly now because it no longer hurts him to load in and out of our Dodge 3/4 Ton, lifted pickup. We extend the ramp to its full length, rest it on the tailgate, and that provides a nice gradual ramp in and out. The material on the ramp DOES NOT HOLD UP WELL! It scratches significantly on the first use. Overall the ramp works well and it is easy enough for one person to manage, but it will look very used very quickly.
Yes, I recommend this product.
