It scared him the first day, he ran outside and refused to come in the house for an hour. Now he realizes he can bark once and it will not set off the machine. So it sort of helps, at least with the constant barking,

Can cause permanent psychological damage

Used for my 2 chihuahuas and now one of them is terrified of notification sounds from my phone- especially the ding sound. I have to keep my phone on silent. However, if if one of the sounds comes from a show on tv she becomes frantic. It’s been 8 mo since I used it and it appears that the damage to her is permanent. Breaks my heart!

No, I do not recommend this product.

I purchased this along with the one to use outside. Even though I’m not happy with the one for the outside, I do like this product it is better. The dog seemed to acknowledge it after they bark by looking at it. And they will stop for a few seconds and then park again. Still they probably would need something stronger, but this product is not too bad it does work.
