not an improvement

this jug is next to impossible to hold while placing it back into its base, which leads to the next problem. the tangs/tabs in the base that the jug twists into last about 2 times before they start to flatten and/or break. the old waterer was much sturdier but when the jug finally breaks there's no option but to buy a new one.

Pictures are wrong

The pictures online are the old model that is no longer available. We purchased a matching feeder and waterer and the feeder is be old design, as pictured on the website, but the waterer is the new design, which looks cheaper. The colors aren’t even close to the same, so the matching set we invested in is not matching and there’s nothing Tractor Supply will do about it except to order a new feeder and hope it’s the new cheaper looking design. They wouldn’t refund us. Frustrating experience with many phone calls made to follow up on our ticket and the resolution wasn’t relayed until I called them back AGAIN to follow up.

Don't waste your money it leaks after 5 months

Terrible! I had another one of these that was basically the same thing, same size etc for over 13 years and loved it. This one we got in September and recently it's developed a leak. Every few days I'm mopping up water. At first I thought it was put on wrong then I thought it must have a slow leak so I put a towel under it but now it's just un-usable even a towel under it isn't working. I have two big dogs that need water constantly and this was a good way to not hasn't to give them water multiple times a day now I'm on the hunt again for something, again. Don't waste your money on this one. I wish I could remember where I got my old one.
