Bought this to replace the soft-side carrier I’ve used for 17 years. The new carrier looks well-made

I only need this carrier to take my cats to the Vet. The carrier is a nice size. The only drawback is I cannot find a cushion/pad to fit it. All the pads I see are either too big or too small. I end up having to use some folded towels but they won't stay in place and end up a balled up mess. It's either that or just go without which is pretty uncomfortable for the cat laying on the hard plastic. I would recommend this carrier but would tell them the problem with finding a pad.

I bought this for my Bengal to keep her safe . I have always purchased petmate but this top load caused me injuries . I’m placing my calm kitty ion if using the top load door and it slams shut before I had my cat inside which caused my kitty to freak out . Needless to say I arrived at my vets office a bloody mess . My cat had to be Seen that day and my vet office is only a 2 min drive . The girls at the front desk freaked out and took me into the back to help me clean up , get antibiotic ointment on my scratches and bandage me up . First time I used it and now my normally very calm kitty freaks out over any carrier

I have 2 Petmate kennels (19" and 24") and they're your basic hard-sided carrier. All's well & good, though the top-load door is more obnoxious than it's worth - it will NOT stay open on its own, so if you're going to load your pet in from the top, know you'll need one hand available to hold the top door open. If you're loading into the front, you'll have no problem.
