Not the same

The sky kennel is not what it used to be. I have one from the 1980s that’s still in excellent shape. I also have this crate— my dog was able to scratch a giant hole through the plastic

The kennel is great but make sure you have the right size because you won’t be able to return it: the purchaser is responsible for return shipping and it was as much as the kennel.

A Less Stressed Dog

I have a 15 lb Chihuahua-Chow mix. He cannot be contained in a metal kennel without doing damage to the door or frame and scooting the tray out of it. He completely pulls down metal and wooden gates, spring loaded or tightened to door frames or hallways. However, this Sky Kennel crate has finally solved the problem to contain him when he needs to be contained. He has not been able to damage the door. He seems less stressed being contained in it which has been a huge relief. We leave the door open at all other times and he actually seems to enjoy sleeping in it, going in all on his own, no coaxing. It is a comfort for us to be able to leave him alone in it when necessary knowing he is safe and less stressed.
