RACKMASTER Clover Trio mix is a blend of annual clover (crimson, medium red and arrowleaf) that offers staggered maturity dates to provide abundant amounts of protein and energy rich forage for deer, turkey and other wildlife for an extended time period. The crimson clover establishes and grows fast to provide an immediate high protein food supply to help meet the high nutritional needs of does and bucks during the colder months following the rut. As it matures in the spring, the crimson clover provides excellent food, cover and habitat for browsing turkey. The later maturing clovers come on in spring to provide a high protein and energy food source into the summer months, the following fall, and beyond. Under favorable growing conditions and proper management, these clovers can supply browsing for up to 10 months annually and for years or longer without replanting. RACKMASTER Clover Trio features seed fuel seed germination enhancement technology which promotes quicker emergence and stronger, deeper root growth. The result is a hardier and more productive food plot.

  • Plants emerge quicker because of Seed Fuel bio-stimulant
  • Provides abundant nitrogen source
  • High protein and energy food source for bucks and does up to 10 months annually
  • Great in a mixture with winter annuals and small grains to boost protein and energy content
  • Makes an excellent stand-alone plot or works well mixed with small grains
  • Staggered maturity dates ensure protein rich forage when is is most needed

Q: I want to plant this in far SW Georgia. I'd like to plant it in the Spring. What, if anything can I mix with it, perennial wise, to be able to provide food all year long? I have a very small area, around 1/4 acre.

1 Answer
  • A: Hi, Here is the information we received from the vendor- "Thanks for reaching out, this product produces best results when planting in the fall. Should you want to look for a great product to pair it with this Spring we would recommend our item 2319060, the Pennington Smart Seed Clover & Seed mix or the item 2063569, the RackMaster Dual season, as that will cover a greater area."

Q: Can this mix be frost seeded in the winter months?

1 Answer
  • A: Durana responds well to frost seeding when done correctly. Broadcast Durana at a seeding rate of 5 pounds per acre on a well-prepared seedbed. Do not plant any deeper than 1/8-inch deep, as many stand failures result from seed planted too deep.
