Q: Does the bottom tray have sides tall enough to catch any urine if the animal pees near the edge? Or is there a screen floor separating the inside of the cage and the drawer? If it has a screen / mesh floor, can that be removed?

- A: Thanks for your inquiry. New Age does not, currently, market wheels for this model. That is partially due to the design and how it is assembled. Some time ago, a customer sent us a picture of a simple device to solve the problem. It was similar to a furniture dolly. Just a rectangle of 4 pieces of wood with casters attached to the bottom. - A: Thanks for your question. There are a couple of issues that you would need to be aware of if you proceed with this plan . Much of the ventilation for the lower unit would come from the screened top which would be covered but not sealed. There would likely be enough airflow to be OK for the pet inside. Since they are not designed to be stacked, you would need to create some sort of addition to make sure the upper unit would not slide off the lower unit.4 years agoHelpful?

Great for bigger rabbits

I bought these for my bigger indoor rabbits. They’re sturdy enough for a 12 -15 pound rabbit not to break it. They work very well with litter pan trained rabbit. I kept two females in one for about a year. Neither was litter box trained & that made clean up tougher. But it held up well to a garden hose spray down& scrub w/ soap & water rinse. It’s bigger than it looks in the picture.

I ordered this because we had the tan smaller version and she was too big for it really. It's a nice size and color. My son put it together but did remark it seemed a bit "cheap" material wise and there was a crack in one of the side beams that would not impact structurally integrity. There was also minor damage in another area that is unseen and doesn't affect her use of it. I do wish it were on wheels simply for the cleaning factor. When you pull the tray out there is always going to be hay and other things that fall in the space below. The tan/smaller/wheeled version made cleaning that easy. Overall though I do like it and she is able to enjoy the little box to hide in.
