Wow this is truly a very nice and well built product. We were lucky to catch it on a sale-thank you, we are happy. We have the small but it can accommodate 2 medium sized stray cats comfortably with beds. Bought the pad that warms and has rubber backing. The cats love them. The tray slides out for easy clean if you have birds or rabbits. It is easy to put the sides together. An extra pair of hands is needed to hold the pieces to start but then your okay. I bought it for stray cats so we layered insulation in the bottom and closed it, we also used the 2 pc insert separator as a wind breaker on the grill front (it closes the big opening) and laid the grill gate down against a cement wall so the cats can enter that opening. Leaving the ramp down for us is not smart. We have too many other critters and they would look at it as home too. This way the cats jump in and one has and uses it. Worth the money.

This product is not sturdy as it comes. Unboxing I noticed a lot of the pre-assembled parts were loose and some screws loose. Once I put it together the first time I could tell the screws and such were too small for the soft wood. I disassembled the unit and put it back together using glue and larger wood screws. I also had to relocate the door lock and do a couple other minor adjustments. Once together it looks and functions nice but be prepared to do some work to it if you want it to last.
