Great all purpose - not just meat birds

Meat bird is a great all purpose, higher protein, poultry feed. It is great for layers. It is great for hens that are molting. Laying hens know how much calcium they need and will eat it on their own from a separate calcium dish. Mother nature is wonderful that way! They will naturally regulate their calcium intake. Layer feed is loaded with calcium. Calcium weights a lot, so a 50 pound bag of layer feed is actually mostly calcium supplement. Get meat bird and supplement the calcium. You hens will eat less becasuse it is more "food" in that 50 pound bag, look better, and regulate their own calcium the mother nature way.

It’s a good feed for the price. But the thing that I don’t like is that it’s mostly powder and not crumbles. If you don’t mind having powder buy it. But if you prefer crumbles then go with another feed. It smells nice but it’s too powdery that there’s absolutely not much crumbles! I just added water and my chicks love it but it’s too powdery :( The feed doesn’t last as long as other feeds since there’s not much crumbles. I should have returned it but I wanted to try this feed. Maybe got a bad batch.
