Motomco Mole Killer Worm 12pk

  • Scientifically proven to kill moles
  • Only mole bait registered with the EPA using proven laboratory and field testing with live moles
  • Utilizes the active ingredient Bromethalin, an acute non-anticoagulant
  • Mimics a mole's natural food source: earthworms and grubs
  • Moles can consume a lethal dose in a single feeding and can dies in as little as 2 days

Motomco Mole Killer is available in worm or grub shaped baits and is scientifically proven to kill moles in lawns, yards and gardens. It was designed to mimic a mole's natural food source: earthworms and grubs. Other mole baits have been developed on the premise that moles are similar to rats and mice, when in reality a mole's diet is entirely different, making most pelleted bait ineffective. Developed using extensive lab and field research, Motomco Mole Killer succeeds where other grain baits, repellants and home remedies have failed. Moles can consume a lethal dose of Motomco Mole Killer in a single feeding and die in as little as two days.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ineffective After reading the instructions, twice, I accurately located several active mole runs. I applied the bait worms in the active runways, pinching the top after ensuring worm was indeed entirely in the run. Three days later I compacted the runs. Overnight the runs were tunneled again. I repeated this procedure and waited. Runs reappeared. Frustrated, I shoveled where the baits were placed to learn if they had been consumed. Nope. Not one bite had been taken from any of the bait worms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bye bye moles I bought this online and so far so good the moles in front yard have either moved on or passed away. Now to work around my garden in the backyard.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worms had melted I purchased this item and took it home - when I opened the package all of the worms had melted and were a big glob at the bottom of the packages. I did still use them but don't know how effective they will be due to the strange look of them - they do not resemble worms at all - hopefully moles are dumb and still are attracted to them or it was a total waste of money.

I have a large area of moles around my house and flower beds. How close should the worms be put in the ground? I am trying to see how many I need yo buy.

Asked by: janem38
The Mole Killer Worms can be placed anywhere near your house and gardens where there is an active mole runway. The instructions on the box will help you identify an active tunnel. There isn't a specific depth we recommend, however the tunnels are typically close to the surface and the key is getting the worm into the tunnel where moles are traveling. Moles are typically very solitary animals - 1 or 2 can do a lot of damage. We would suggest starting with 1 box and placing the worms every 5-10 feet along an active runway. 1 Worm is enough to kill a single mole.

Does the product have a secondary effect on other animals...if an animal eats the mole thatbdigested the poison what happens to the next animal? Thank you

Asked by: Jane Kelly
Unfortunately there are no definitive studies that have been done to determine the effect of eating moles that have consumed & died from the poison. The product instructions on the label require that the product be used underground, since moles will consume the bait and die in their tunnels. Once they have died, they are generally inaccessible to other animals like dogs or non-target species, so the risk of secondary poisoning is minimal.

Is this safe around dogs?

Asked by: joannie
Motomco Mole Killer can be harmful to dogs if they were to ingest one of the worms. However, the product's label instructions require the worms to be applied underground, in active mole runways or tunnels. As long as the worms are underground and away from where they could be accessed by a dog, they are safe to use. Of course, all dog's are different and have different behaviors so there may be a risk with aggressive diggers that could unearth the bait. Owners know their dogs best, so if you feel there could be a risk we would not recommend using the product.
