When planting in ground, thoroughly mix in 3 inches of Miracle-Gro Organic Raised Bed & Garden Soil for every 6 inches of native soil then plant new seeds or plants. Always water thoroughly immediately after planting. I was pretty disappointed that this is mostly wood chips. I’m using it as the bottom layer in my grow bags for potatoes now. I really wish the industry would have clear bags so you can see what you are really buying.

While small pieces of bark and twigs are intentional components of our growing media including potting soil, garden soil, lawn soil, top soil, etc. large pieces of wood or bark should not be present. Most of our soils are made of composted forest products and contain very little if any actual soil. Composted forest products provide high organic content and nutrients without the concern for soil compaction which often occurs with potting mixes composed primarily of actual topsoil. The coarser material allows for air to reach the roots of the plant which improves plant performance for years.

Wouldn’t buy to fill a hole

Wasn’t aware plastic and glass were organic. Should also mix it up a little, 4 bags were pretty much manure, wood, plastic and bugs. Used them to fill the swamp.
