The Mighty Mule 100 ft. Driveway Gate Vehicle Sensor allows a vehicle to drive past the sensor's 12 ft. electromagnetic field that will open your gate automatically, allowing guests the ability to exit without the use of a remote (FM135, FM134, or MMT103). Compatible with all Mighty Mule automatic gate openers, this gate opening sensor can detect cars, trucks, ATVs, tractors, and motorcycles. It's backed by a 1 year limited warranty. Recommended to be installed between 3 and 100 ft. of the gate openers control box.

Yes, with the addition of a Mighty Mule part # FM140 (100 ft gate opening sensor) any vehicle passing the sensor will activate your gate. Once you leave your property the gate would close after a set time. That set time is dependent on how long your auto close cycle feature is adjusted to on your Mighty Mule Gate Opener. Your Mighty Mule Gate Opener auto close timer can be adjusted from 0ff or 3 to 120 seconds. Thank you,7 years agoHelpful?

Install is easy, hahaha - gate won’t stop opening!

I bought the exit wand in March and due to waiting for a replacement motherboard missed the window of opportunity for return. I’ve installed the wand exactly as prior wand, exactly as indicated for all potential options. No matter what the gate continues to open and close repeatedly. I’m on West Coast and have a weekly day job so being on a call, waiting for a tech, then video conferencing the troubleshooting is a challenge. Last tech conference for the motherboard was a 2.5 hour call. I’m beyond frustrated.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Installed the 100 foot Mighty Mule vehicle gate sensor as instructed. My driveway is 3 inches of asphalt and the sensor was installed next to to asphalt (about 10 inches down below about 3 inches of road base and dirt.). The sensor works great. As you drive past the sensor, it automatically opens the gate. Perfect.

We love this. We live a half mile off our road and down a hill. We can’t see anyone turning into our drive. This item has been great. It alerts us when someone is coming. There are woods none side and no one can see it. I like that it is not a motion sensor because we live on a farm and animals would be setting it off. It only detects metal. It’s easy to install and works like it is supposed to.
