Q: Does this wired gate opening sensor work with the TS571W gate opener?

2 Answers
  • A: Yes, but it is available with different wire lengths. Make sure you get one that is long enough for your situation. An issue to be aware of is it can cause the gate to open randomly. It may be a sensitivity issue. There is a potentiometer that can be wire into the system that is supposed to correct this issue. You may want to purchase it at the same time.

Not in the dark

It was working fine, for a few months. Now it only operates during daylight. Once sun started going down it will not work. I’ve upgraded solar panel and battery, still nothing. Now it doesn’t work at all. I’ll be digging it up and putting in a 2nd key pad.

No, I do not recommend this product.

TRW73028, all accessory items have a 12-month warranty. You may want to try the FM130-SW a wireless opening sensor version, TSC 3608166. Also please reach out to Tech Support. They can be reached at 1-800-543-1236 M-F 8am-7pm and Sat 10am-6pm EST
they can help you with your concern, time of day should not affect the sensor.

The original sensor self destructed after some 8 years having been under 12” of flood water 7 times following the Hermit’s Peak Calf Canyon Fire lit as a controlled burn by the US Forest Service on a much too windy day.
