The Mibro 3/4-14 NPT Plug Tap is used for cutting internal threads. This heavy-duty pipe tap is made from tool steel that is titanium nitride coated for reduced friction. Pipe tap sizing consists of two numbers; the first number refers to the diameter of the hole being threaded, the second number states the number of threads per inch.

GARBAGE!

Drove 100 mi round trip to pick this tap up and it must have missed heat treating. Attempted to tap a mild steel bushing and all the threads on the tap flattened out. Tried calling customer service several times and the automated system hung up after a minute.

Saved my Camper's waterheater.

Saved my week. Just like someone else commented I desperately needed to clean up some "banged up" threads on my camper's hot water tank. The anode (zink) that I remove each year for winter is weighted way off because of the length. Managed to cross thread the heater opening just enough to prohibit getting that nasty thing back in. This cleaned up the threads and allowed me to get things back as they needed to be.

worked great for a Halloween project I was helping my grandson with. Soft metal and only the one hole so can't give it a though review, but great price also helps with the thumbs up.
