The Mibro 3/4-14 NPT Plug Tap is used for cutting internal threads. This heavy-duty pipe tap is made from tool steel that is titanium nitride coated for reduced friction. Pipe tap sizing consists of two numbers; the first number refers to the diameter of the hole being threaded, the second number states the number of threads per inch.

- A: Hello, thank you for your question. Here is the information we received from the vendor: There is no way to know what bolt size is on the Hot Water Heater. This Tap is designed to remove a screw or bolt that is ¾” in diameter. If this is the bolt size on the Water Heater, then technically it should work.9 months agoHelpful?

Like many others, this little tool saved my sanity when it comes to my travel trailer’s water heater anode rod/drain. If you are like me and stumbled upon this item after battling your camper’s water heater, just buy it. This is probably the item you need.
