I buy this product for my wife and she puts them around her hosta plants. And this prevents those nasty and annoying slugs from eating on our plants. An inexpensive and easy solution to the big problem for the many plants around the house.

I have stupid chickens

My chickens will not eat this. I have used different brands of oyster shell and they eat that. I think they like the thin flakes of shell and this is more pebble like. I gave it 3 stars for the price. I can't leave a lower rating because maybe my chickens are just defective and stupid...that is not the fault of the product. Manna Pro is a great company.

Chickens need this and will eat it when needed. Mine do not eat it all the time but they do eat it like I said, when needed. I put mine in a small plastic container that I put drain holes in the case of rain. Then I've hung it on the side of their pen. I did this so they didn't scratch it all out on the ground and waste a bunch of it. It took a while to go through 50 lbs. with my small flock, so if you have a place to store it you are good to go.
