- A: The Lifetime Adjustable In-Ground Basketball Hoop (44-Inch Polycarbonate) has a Quick Adjust Height System. You can adjust the height in seconds from 8 ft to 10ft. To adjust the height, use a broomstick or rod: push up under the rim to raise it (you'll hear clicks as it locks), and to lower, push up on the release latch behind the rim with the broomstick to disengage it, then guide it down slowly to your desired height. - A: Some concrete will likely get inside the pole during the installation of a Lifetime in-ground basketball system. The pole is placed directly into the concrete, and while efforts are made to prevent it, some concrete may seep into the bottom of the pole. - A: The hole should be dug for a round hole 21" deep and 18" in diameter. The pole should set be in the hole with the concrete at 14.5". The hole requires at least 420 lb (≈191 kg) of concrete mix to fill a volume of 3.07 ft3 (≈0.087 m3). 3 feet would make the pole to short for the system.a year agoHelpful?
