Special Precautions

Lidocaine is generally well-tolerated. Nevertheless, as with all local anesthetics, adverse effects could occur due to faulty technique, overdosage, hypersensitivity, and inadvertent subarachnoid or intravascular injection. If respiratory arrest occurs, immediately resuscitate with oxygen.
