Latanoprost Ophthalmic Solution is commonly used in the management of elevated intraocular pressure and glaucoma. Latanoprost works by increasing the amount of fluid drained from the eyes. Latanoprost Ophthalmic Solution 0.005% 2.5 ml increases the volume of fluid drained from the eyes, reducing eye pressure.

Special Precautions

• Latanoprost is generally considered effective and safe when prescribed by a veterinarian, but side effects could still occur.

Side Effects

The most commonly reported reactions to this medication are:

• Eye stinging (shortly after application)
• Local irritation, causing redness in the tissue around the eye
• Constricted/smaller pupils
• Change in iris color (to dark brown)
