    Very handy for accurate diameter measurements

    I use this to check tree diameter to make sure it will fit on my sawmill. It will measure 10 linear feet, and trees (or anything cylindrical like pipes or ducts) up to 36 inches in diameter. I carry this around in my front pocket and the magnet sticks to my tiny pocket knife, and keeps me from losing it. I wish it were a bit longer. I've come across a tree or 2 that exceeds the capacity of this tape, but those won't fit on my mill anyway. Also, it got wet once (left it out in the rain) and I just extended the tape all the way out, and blew it out. Still works great.
