The new Just Scentsational Coyote Urine Gel predator scent has long been known to trigger the fight or flight response in small animals of prey. The larger the predator, the larger the prey that can be intimidated by the scent. The Coyote Urine is designed to keep smaller and medium sized animals away. When prey sense the preditor scent it thinks there is a preditor in the area and it stays away. It is remarkably weather resistant and does not dissolve or lose its potency after rainfall. Q: Would this work for raccoons? I have a family of raccoons that have taken up residence and had babies under my house. They are causing lots of problems and they need to go!

- A: It should. Coyote are a natural predator of the raccoon. That said, raccoons are wild animals so there are no guarantees. In addition, because they can climb and they are tenacious, they can be a bit more difficult that other garden pests.6 years agoHelpful?

- A: Here is the vendor's response. The answer is maybe. The way the Coyote Uring Gel works is by taking advantage of an animals fight or flight reflex. Skunks would be considered prey by coyote so they should be afraid if they smell the scent and avoid the area. However, skunks, as your customer knows, like to dig and can dig not just burrows where they live, but tunnels. If they are digging at the base of the building where the gel is placed, then yes, the gel should repel the skunk, (disclaimer, when dealing with a wild animal, results may vary). However, if the skunk is digging far enough away from the gel and tunnelling under the building, it won't smell the "coyote" and therefore it won't have any impact.6 years agoHelpful?

- A: This product should work for a Fox, however, please remember that we are dealing with wild animals and they can be unpredictable. If an animal is hungry enough they will take the risk to get food even if they sense a predator.7 years agoHelpful?

Would NOT Recommend For Squirrel Repellent

Bought this to try to discourage the squirrels that are causing destruction on our deck and veranda since I've tried everything else to no avail. Did absolutely nothing to deter them. In addition, even though we used a caulking gun to apply it, it came out in spurts instead of a line. I was even okay with that, if only it had served some purpose but it ended up being a complete waste of time and money. I looked out to see squirrels sitting on the Adirondack chair RIGHT NEXT to a glob of this stuff. I'm left with a pricey empty tube and just as many squirrels as before.

Double rip off-This product came with no instructions so I just squirted around my plants. Some are ok but My hydrangea was not, it’s totally gone. The deer in my area must have no fear a coyote. Also, I ordered online and picked up at store. There was an invoice in the box from the supplier, Tractor Supply charged me double what they paid for it.

It's smelly and that is how it works!

I bought this because we have had a continual problem with feral cats, opposums, ground hogs, raccoons and a number of other pests making their homes in my crawlspace, and this stuff scares the liver out of them. One whiff of this predator urine and suddenly your house is no longer popular with the vermin. The best feature of this stuff is it is a gel instead of liquid like all the others. That means you can put it right where you need to, and it won't wash away if it rains. It also makes handling this most unpleasant product neat and clean no muss and no fuss. Load it in a caulk gun and put it where they go in and out and they will plague you no more. If you have a squirrel problem where they raid your bird feeders, a little of this on the pole under the feeder will get the message across. After a few applications even the most stubborn pests will take a hike. This stuff works.
