As a new baby goat mom, I was worried about the cold weather that moved here just as they moved in. This kept them snug and I only checked on them 150 times the first night instead of 432 I had planned!

Brooder lamp

Here on our pheasant farm we employ 4 to 8 of these lights in the barn brooder for the pheasant and chicken chicks, and I find this lamp to be above average, and a safer alternative to others.
The only problem that I have encountered with the light fixture(s) is the bulb socket that is housed in the ceramic housing. I have gotten only 1.5 years use (total on time usage 15 weeks for 3 hatches) and the rivets that hold the bulb socket in place has broken rendering the brooder light(s) useless.
Replacement of the whole fixture is the only remedy since there are no repair parts available. No online ordering is available for this item.
An additional on/off switch would be an added ideal plus to this product.
