  • A: The manufacturer recomends a poly tarp for something that's going to be carried and needs to be waterproof. Be aware that sleeping directly on these may cause wax coating to rub onto clothing.

  • A: Tan is the industry's universal term for the color classification for this tarp, but this tarp (only offered in "tan") has a yellowish color.

Q: What is Used to treat the canvas. I was hoping to use this as a groud cloth for camping but i am nervous to sleep on it.

WOOD PILE YES, BUSHCRAFT NO.

I bought a 6x8 and a 8x10 for Bushcraft. No good. While they are built well enough, they stink and get chemical waxiness on everything. I cannot fault the tarps for this because it is not what they were designed for. When I used them as intended, outside to cover my wood piles, they work well, so 4 stars.

Terrible!! The color bled on all the covered items and it got a tear in it with one use. Every time you touched it you got a film on your hands. FYI it didn’t even rain.
