Q&As

1 - 10 of 10 Questions

Q: Why my flashlight gets so hot while on I can’t even hold it?

1 Answer
  • A: Your JobSmart 3,000-Lumen Pro Series Flashlight gets too hot to hold primarily because high-power LEDs convert up to 65% of their electrical energy directly into heat rather than light. At its maximum 3,000-lumen high mode, the light pulls intense current. Small aluminum bodies have limited surface area to radiate that amount of thermal energy away into the surrounding air.Drop the light down to its 750-lumen low mode. It will vastly reduce the heat output and extend your battery runtime from 1 hour to 4 hours

Great to have during a power outage!

I highly recommend this flashlight . . . it floods an entire room or the entire yard with light, is easy to recharge (no more searching for replacement batteries when your flashlight dies), is well-built and durable, reasonably-priced, and everything about it says "high quality." We own two of these - keep one upstairs and one downstairs so we're always prepared when the power goes out in the evening.
