Oregon 39272 18 in. Bar and 62 Link Chainsaw Chain Combination. is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great bar and chain I needed my saw today, Husqvarna 55 Rancher. It wasn't listed on the package as a model that this fit but it has the same pitch as the original. This does NOT fit the 55, it has a different pitch. My 20 inch factory chain needed sharpened but I didn't have time to fool with it and I wanted a 18" bar so I grabbed this. It's made in the USA, cheaper than the foreign made Husqvarna set up and it's an Oregon. What more could you ask for? I can't complain about the OEM Husqvarna chain or bar at all. In 12 years it's only needed sharpened twice, once when I let my dad borrow it and he was use to a 14" saw so every cut he make had about 6" of chain in the dirt, didn't realize he was doing it till I saw sparks and it needs sharpened again after cutting a black gum that was struck by lightning. Now the saw does more work than I do and the extra weight of the 55 Rancher will send the bar flying through even oak. The factory chain seemed to be a lot less efficient, even when sharp as a razor you had to hold it back or it would bog in large oaks. This one throws much bigger chips after a full day of cutting than the factory one did new with much less strain on the engine. I actually ound myself running the saw at 3/4 throttle most of the time and it still cut faster than most saws I've ever ran, especially with the factory chains. Don't skimp, buy Oregon, period.
