My dogs have had oral care nuggets for years and have had excellent teeth. I was thrilled to see Hills Science Diet is now making it for cats, as older cat dental cleanings are involved and cost a fortune! He loves this food and I give them as treats too. I wish TS carried it all the time, not just special order.

My cat had gingivitis and some calculus buildup, so I got this food; it requires some troubleshooting to get used to, but It is well worth it. I just came back from the vet and she said my cat’s teeth look amazing. As many reviews state, the pieces are very large which can make this food seem intimidating, but it’s important for them to actually clean teeth. My cat wouldn’t eat this food at first, so I started cutting the pieces in half with scissors (the things we do for love), though I’m sure a food processor would do the trick. Once she got used to the smaller pieces, she got a taste for the food itself, and was willing to eat the larger pieces. Now she doesn’t want any other food, and her teeth are beautifully clean. Well worth it.

I was given this food by the vet for oral care. The kibble is large and meant for cats who DONT CHEW on their food. The large size forces my cat to chew unlike most small kibble. My only issue is that it is really difficult to find and hard to tell the difference between the small kibble and large kibble since you dont have a different style or way to search this up. Super difficult to find
