Very well built

These things can hold a house. Very strong and sturdy. Very well built. The hard part is getting them in the ground. If the ground is really hard it will be almost impossible. I welded a sleeve to go over the eye and attached the sleeve to a large powerful hammer drill. That helped a ton.

Disappointed

I do love TSC. This earth auger was hard to start. Had to use a grinder to make the auger cut through the dirt. I cut a socket to fit over the top the eye so I can use an impact gun. After 6 days, I'm only made it half way. It is not cutting through the ground. The 6 inch auger is not designed well. Would not recommend this to anyone. Going to buy another one from a different company.

More of Location Issues not Product

My local tractor supply constantly has these listed as in stock online so typically I will purchase online and pickup in store. The past three times ill place yhe order only to receive a "Cancelled Order" email. This happened three times. If your inventory is consistently a problem that leads to a waste of my time, Ill shop and order elsewhere. Get your business and inventory together or start firing individuals that are the problem.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Needs improvment

Needs thought. Disk should be sharpen. Like many stated, digs holes. I had a perfect soil, soft blackjack. Disk does not catch. I used a post hole digger an dug out about a foot, then the Disk caught. Using a crow bar I was able to drive the entire length. Rocky soil, hard soil, forget it. Would believe you would not get the full grip till the ground resettled but I think it would far exceed tolerance.

Got this to anchor my shed. Worked fine. Heads up on one thing if your soil is like mine. I got the 48" long 6" diameter auger anchor. Living in FL I have sandy soil. Install was going fine until I hit wet sandy soil at 2.5 to 3 feet. The wet sandy soil is "sticky" and pushing through it was very difficult. I wanted the 6" auger for the most holding power I could get. That 6" auger diameter larger surface area vs the sticky wet sandy soil is something to keep in mind. If the soil was not so SANDY and just wet I think it would have been easier.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
