- A: Please use a brush to clean salt particles on the inner wall after spreading the salt. Ensure that salt particles do not stick to screws and cause rusting. - Vendor lubricates gears before shipping. If you still want to lubricate it, please unscrew 3 screws at bottom plate and remove the plate as attached images,in your email, then you could lubricate gears. I put in an order for pick up so the items were selected for me. The product had already been used and was cracked on the side. It is still usable, but I’m very disappointed that something that should have been new and in good condition was dirty and broken.
