I used this tool to spread salt on my roof. I had over a foot of snow on the roof. I have deep eaves and shallow pitch. So I raked off about six feet with land scape rake using the back side. But you can’t get it all. Because the eaves are deep they don’t melt, this creates a dam for melt water coming from higher up. I cleared a path best I could then spread salt hoping to get snow off fast without soaking thru my ceiling . I think I was pretty successful! Oh BTW I bought the rake at Tractor Supply too!

Spreader-rests on your arm. So comfortable. Way better built than Scott’s. They are junk and not as ergonomically designed. Hands down a slam dunk deal on the best hand spreader made.
