I've had this saw for 2 years now. For electric saws, it doesn't get much better than this one, in my opinion. It's got great power, it's way quieter than any gas saw, and the automatic chain brake is an excellent safety feature (as soon as you release the trigger, the chain stops dead). Make sure you use a beefy extension cord if you're going long distances (100ft+) from an outlet. Also, with a 14.5 amp rating, make sure you're not on a circuit with tons of other stuff, or else you'll be heading into the house to reset breakers if you really push this saw. I docked it 1 star for one minor annoyance. For whatever reason, the chain is clearly marked on the bar as a 3/8" low profile with 63 drive links. The correct chain for this saw is 62 drive links, not 63. I bought a replacement chain with 63 drive links and the fitment was not correct (the tension adjustment was nearly maxed out and the oil feed hole no longer lined up). I compared chains and sure enough, the original chain that came with the saw was 62 drive links. As of writing this review, the photos of this saw on the Greenworks website still show the wrong information on the bar. I hope this experience helps someone looking at buying one of these saws. Even with that minor annoyance, I still wholeheartedly recommend it. It's been a couple of years now, and it continues to impress me!

I bought this saw a month ago, but have only used it 3-4 times for branches up to 6" in diameter. It has plenty of power, but I have a hard time keeping the chain on it. Any change in cutting angles and the chain pops off.
