Really like this saw!

I've had this saw for 2 years now. For electric saws, it doesn't get much better than this one, in my opinion. It's got great power, it's way quieter than any gas saw, and the automatic chain brake is an excellent safety feature (as soon as you release the trigger, the chain stops dead). Make sure you use a beefy extension cord if you're going long distances (100ft+) from an outlet. Also, with a 14.5 amp rating, make sure you're not on a circuit with tons of other stuff, or else you'll be heading into the house to reset breakers if you really push this saw.
I docked it 1 star for one minor annoyance. For whatever reason, the chain is clearly marked on the bar as a 3/8" low profile with 63 drive links. The correct chain for this saw is 62 drive links, not 63. I bought a replacement chain with 63 drive links and the fitment was not correct (the tension adjustment was nearly maxed out and the oil feed hole no longer lined up). I compared chains and sure enough, the original chain that came with the saw was 62 drive links. As of writing this review, the photos of this saw on the Greenworks website still show the wrong information on the bar. I hope this experience helps someone looking at buying one of these saws. Even with that minor annoyance, I still wholeheartedly recommend it. It's been a couple of years now, and it continues to impress me!

I bought this saw a month ago, but have only used it 3-4 times for branches up to 6" in diameter. It has plenty of power, but I have a hard time keeping the chain on it. Any change in cutting angles and the chain pops off.

Great tool, good price, quick cut and light weight

Light weight, easy to use and cut quickly. No worries about batteries powered as the electrical connection to my extension cords. Good for location where you cut into small pieces and store for later splitting.

Fantastic chainsaw

The green works electric chainsaw is a game changer. My husband bought the 14” chainsaw for last Christmas. He has some health issues so I’m doing the tree cutting. I’m getting the 18” for this coming Christmas! I cut up a double trunk dead ash tree that hit the ground, then helped with the log splitter. The chain on it is excellent and it is so easy to tighten. 100% satisfied and highly recommend!

I bought one 7 years ago and it still works like new. I have used and abused it. I like that it is quiet and can set it down to move branches without a 2 stroke conking out or restarting it. No mixing gas and carburetor issues. I like that it uses A041 bars. My best words of advice for this saw is if you don't need a 18" bar, put a 14" on it. It is now a overpowered 14" chainsaw. I have gone the other way too, 20" bar and still has good power. I ordered 2 more because I love this saw and fear that it will be dicontinued soon. Battery powered is expensive and would need extra batteries to cut all day.

I have used a chorded in the past chainsaw, this one is by far better. Like another review, the chorded saw is so much better than dealing with gas chainsaws, just push the trigger and it goes! Awesome.
