I bought these gloves about a month ago (December) thinking that it would keep my hands warm during cold rides. I did not want to be wired, so I opted for the 7V battery packs. I purchased size Large and the finger length was fine. However, the palm was extra wide. So basically it wasn't a great fit. I wear the gauntlet over my sleeves and with the batteries in the pouch, I can barely get the velcro to attach. Also the battery presses against my wrist and I have to try and adjust it so it doesn't dig into my wrists. The 7 volt batteries only last about 3.5 hours on the highest setting and they take a long long long time to recharge. Not great for long trips in the cold. The material around the fingers are nylon or polyester and once the power goes out, it basically feels like no gloves at all as the cold just slices through. I've worn these gloves on the high setting when the temperatures were in the low 40's and they are not much use. Today it was 35*F and they were no help at all. As it warmed up into the 50's, my fingers felt fine. But my other winter leather gloves gave me the same comfort at 50*F without batteries. Just insulated leather gloves. When the temps drop, they feel the same as the Gerbing "heated" gloves. I'd say my regular insulated leather gloves are better as there are no batteries to die. Once the batteries die on the Gerbing, it's like you're wearing no gloves.

I bought these about 4 months ago to use during the winter in California. On their own they’re pretty comfy and true to size. My right glove has some sort of seam or wire sticking out around the pinky and it really hurts after about 20 minutes, so I think that might be a manufacturing flaw. The warming function itself is good, not amazing, but not bad. I think the biggest draw back is how massive the battery packs are. They make the gauntlet of the glove so bulky, and the battery is usually sticking out or digging into my arm. The batteries also don’t last that long and take several hours to charge up completely. There’s potential, but there’s way better technology out there and the price point isn’t worth it.

Gloves feel great and work flawlessly. I never have needed the High setting yet, as Medium is plenty toasty enough. Maybe try ordering a size larger than usual, as they do offer a tight fit.

Bought these as a gift and was kind of hesitant on buying the open box item, but I am glad I did. No problems at all, everything worked as advertised and they fit her perfectly at a very good price!
