I’ve had the “dream retirement job” as a maintenance person on a 200-acre New Hampshire horse farm for almost the past three years, and work outdoors in single-degree and teens temperatures. As much as I love the work, I was afraid I’d have to leave the job due to frozen, numb, and painful fingers (Raynaud’s Disease runs in the family). The Gerbing glove liners are an immediate game changer. They work perfectly and are very effective in keeping my fingers comfortable while stuffed inside a lined winter cowhide work glove. I get about 5-hours service on the medium heat setting, so try to use the low setting as much as possible to further preserve battery life. I’ve never used the high heat setting for fear of running down the batteries too quickly so cannot comment on that duty cycle. My one criticism (and, unfortunately, it’s a strong one) is that the liners are woefully undersized. By Gerbing’s own size chart, I should’ve used a medium. But, due to warnings by other reviewers, I purchased the L/XL. I can accept they fit tightly, as glove liners should not be bulky. But the fingers are so short that the web of the liners don’t reach the bottom of my fingers, and significantly restrict my movement. If I didn’t need these so badly, I would’ve exchanged them for the larger size. Bottom line: excellent product, very effective, good battery life cycle…but be wary of the fit!

Liners work better than heated gloves--good for 2-3 hours

The fingers of these are way too short. Who designed these? Obviously they’ve never tried them on.

XXL is a size medium women’s, the fingers are so short that I would blow the tips out if I actually put another pair over the tops of these. I asked the gerbings rep if the XXL glove are longer and she didn’t even want to help out or try to find another pair and just said yes they fit true to size. I remember when Gerbings was a local family owned company here in Washington now they are a sold out large corporation that just cares about the dollar.
