- A: This electric resistor has external resistance .6 ohms, original equipment does not show a resister in the electrical system. It would work if the resistance is up to the customers need.2 years agoHelpful?
Q: I actually am not asking a question, but trying to clear up some absolutely incorrect answers. A resistor absolutely does change voltage, by dividing it. A resistor in line, will "swallow" some of the voltage, so less voltage is available.

- A: Depends on the coil number you are using. Some 12 volt coils do require resisters and some do not. For example if coil 9N12024-12 is being used, then no you would not need a resister. Please provide coil number you are using and we can accurately answer your question below.5 years agoHelpful?

- A: This resistor is designed to work with 12 volt conversion kit. A resister does not reduce voltage in an electrical circuit when a constant voltage is applied it lowers the current (amperage).7 years agoHelpful?
