I use flair strips on my barrel horses when I compete at shows and rodeos. They help to lift up the horses nasal passages and allows them to breathe better and recover faster! I highly recommend you using them if you compete with your horses. They are also used by many other disciplines and not just barrel racing! Tractor Supply offers them at an affordable price and has super fast shipping on them!

my horse has an underlying breathing condition and the colder weather tends to make her wheeze all the time. But when I use these on her, she doesn't wheeze and performs better when using them.

i think the flair strips help my horse get as much air as possible during a run and also aid in recovery time. my mare does bleed or have any issues to make me need them, but I think they help!
