Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better then most human grade rubs. My husband has a taxing physical job. I remembered past family using horse liniment. I got this for him, it did the job. Much better then anything we have tried from drug stores. I highly recommend it! i wish it was available for shipping. I am getting a bottle for my sister in law (same physical issues). However I will have to ship it via post office.

Can u use this liniment on dogs

Asked by: Nanamom49
Thank you for your question. Per the vendor: "This product is only intended for use on horses. However, it is not dangerous to touch, it is meant to be applied by rubbing it in by hand."

Someone told me that this product could be used as a muscle pain reliever on humans. Is that true?

Asked by: Charleybrown
We have heard of this way to use it as well! While this product is safe to touch, and is applied to horses by hand, it is only labeled for use on horses and dogs. Thank you for your interest!

One person says no and another one who is "expert" says it fine, which is it? I have a GSD with a sprain back leg from jumping into my baby's Pack n Go crib. Is it safe to use on a dog?

Asked by: AshLMoore
Hello Ash, the issue and confusion is that instructions for use on dogs are not on the label, and we must only recommend uses listed on the label. While we know there are no ingredients in the product that would likely hurt the dog, it has not been formally tested and we can not recommend it's use on dogs. However, the original Absorbine Veterinary Liniment LIQUID is approved for use on dogs, and mentions dogs on the label. Being the liquid form, it will soak through the coat and be much more effective. We always suggest applying some to a small area or skin in case the animal has sensitive skin. Never apply to sensitive areas such as armpits or mucous membranes. Thank You! Team Absorbine
